YouTube advertising and online video content helped Arizona Federal Credit Union’s customers visualize their tagline, “Experience Us”. Epic Productions was up for the challenge to create and produce a storytelling series to inspire and motivate, understanding people on an individual basis and encouraging them to make a financial comeback. Introducing each contestant to their financial coaches who look over their personal finances with hopes to get each contestant back in the game. Arizona Federal Credit Union wants to extend the experiences of their services online by building authenticity, establishing genuine relationships and most importantly educating the next generation.
The strategy for these financial coaches is to motivate and educate each contestant (and viewers alike), teaching them to cut costs from their disposable incomes and apply funds towards their goals. These coaches bring awareness to their past/current spending habits and suggest alternatives and provide solutions ranging from cutting costs of your daily latte to pursing lower interest rates. Continuing to educate these participants and viewers that the “American Dream” is within reach through discipline and moderation, simple adjustments made in our everyday routines can evolve into annual savings therefore achieving better credit scores and grasping retirement.
Arizona Federal Credit Union encourages viewers to play from home utilizing the same tools as contestants on each webisode. Applying what they learned from contestants and applying to their personal finances as they continue to cheer on their favorite contestant, hopeful to win the grand prize of $20,000. The traditional marketing game plan of “talking at consumers” has evolved due to a newer fan base preferring “talking to consumers” and connecting through storytelling.
