Meet The Epic Productions Team
Video Editor – Michael
Meet Michael, our honey mustard obsessed, Green Lantern fanatic, and most recently, the father to little Miss Averie. Michael is Epic’s video editor who has been in the biz for over 8 years. When we’re not giving thumbs up or down on his closet wardrobe, we’re asking him personal questions; like the ones below. Enjoy!
Tell us one fun fact about yourself.
I don’t really have fun facts, just facts that I like to tell in fun ways. Mostly, I’ll tell stories about mundane things, but I’ll try to make them sound huge and fantastic and interesting. At the office, we call this “StoryTime.”
Tell us your favorite joke.
Gosh, a clean joke? I don’t know. Hmmmm…. “I had a dream that I was drowning in an ocean of orange soda. Thankfully, I woke up and realized it was only a Fanta Sea. “
If you could have any one superpower, which would you choose?
Instant Transmission. The ability to travel vast or short distances in an instant. In addition, time and space wouldn’t be an obstacle. You could live, work, and eat dinner where ever you wanted.
What is your most memorable project while working at Epic?
The most memorable project I’ve worked on at Epic are the commercial campaigns for Arizona Federal featuring Kurt Warner. Kurt is a very friendly person, and we came out with some great spots.
If you were stuck on an island, what one item would you bring?
I’d choose my wife; but if we’re only talking items, I’d pick a Keg of beer. Or maybe a raft.
If you didn’t work in video editing, what would you do?
I graduated with the 6-year plan. There were several majors I tried in college before sticking with video production: Math, English, Business. I would have liked to have ended up doing computer science if I didn’t end up in production though.
Favorite thing about working at Epic?
My favorite thing about Epic, is that I enjoy coming to work. We work on a variety of different projects, but more importantly, I like the people I work with. We always laugh and have a good time while working. It makes life and work more enjoyable. It’s easy to be happy. I’ve told my coworkers on multiple occasions that they are all my best friend. Sadly, they laugh at that.
